Technical Update: Collecting Original Nimrod Jacking Equipment

Rather than hiring commercial aircraft jacks at significant cost, the team has agreed to look into collecting the original Nimrod jacks currently stored at RAF Kinloss.

Three jacks remain available for our use, which could save the project thousands of pounds while ensuring we have the correct equipment for supporting the aircraft during dismantling and reassembly.

Planning is now underway for the feasibility for a collection trip in August, with volunteers coordinating transport and lifting arrangements.
