XV232 Relocation Move Postponed

The Nimrod Preservation Group XV232 CIC wishes to advise supporters that the planned movement of Nimrod XV232 has been postponed following an incident involving a separate aircraft project at Coventry Airport.

Although XV232 was not involved, the project team has taken the decision to postpone the move while the implications of the incident are fully understood.

Safety remains our highest priority, and we will only proceed when we are satisfied that all arrangements remain appropriate and achievable.

While the delay is disappointing, preparations for the relocation and long-term preservation of XV232 continue. The project team remains focused on securing the aircraft’s future at the RAF Manston History Museum and will continue progressing work behind the scenes.

We thank our volunteers, supporters and partners for their continued patience and support. A further update will be provided once revised arrangements have been agreed.
